FedEx (FDX) Third Quarter Earnings Miss Estimates

FedEx (FDX) came out with quarterly earnings of $4.51 per share, missing the Zacks Consensus Estimate of $4.65 per share. This compares to earnings of $3.86 per share a year ago. These figures are adjusted for non-recurring items.

This quarterly report represents an earnings surprise of -3.01%. A quarter ago, it was expected that this package delivery company would post earnings of $3.90 per share when it actually produced earnings of $4.05, delivering a surprise of 3.85%.

Over the last four quarters, the company has surpassed consensus EPS estimates two times.

FedEx, which belongs to the Zacks Transportation – Air Freight and Cargo industry, posted revenues of $22.16 billion for the quarter ended February 2025, surpassing the Zacks Consensus Estimate by 1.25%. This compares to year-ago revenues of $21.7 billion. The company has topped consensus revenue estimates just once over the last four quarters.
